The shared life between King's Baptist Church and King's Baptist Grammar School, taking place under the banner of 'The King's Community' provides the opportunity for people and families to do life ‘better, together.’   Sharing facilities and a campus,  we seek to be intentional in working together, with a vision of being outwardly focussed on our wider community.

The first element of this joint community expressions is the development of new facilities housing an Early Learning Centre, auditorium and a café.


About the position

A busy and vibrant community requires key support from staff across all aspects of operation. 

As a newly developed role, the Administration Assistant will oversee the day to day operations of the church, providing assistance to the Pastors and Ministry Team Leaders.  The role will also be responsible for providing a wide range of administrative functions across The King's Community facility.   

This position will suit someone with the capacity to multitask, prioritise work appropriately and work autonomously.  The role will require high level administrative skills with and exceptional ability to engage and communicate with people and maintain positive working relationships.

Interpersonal skills that portray a welcoming atmosphere, friendly disposition and helpful manner.A natural affinity with people and developing successful relationships, supporting others and providing exceptional levels of service to a church, student and family community.  Ability to show initiative and be flexible and adaptive.Work cohesively in a team environment as well as working autonomously where required.Representing the King's Community, the Church and wider community by providing a positive, enthusiastic and professional support and customer service environment.High level proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, data base management programs and web based communication tools.


The position is full time across Monday to Friday for 49 weeks of the year (including 4 weeks paid annual leave), however requires a degree of flexibility to accommodate various projects and events across the King's Community.
