Psalm 91- A declaration over the King’s Community
Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
2 The King’s Community, will say of the LORD, “He is our refuge and our fortress, our God, in whom we trust.”
3 Surely he will save us from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence.
4 He will cover the King’s Community with his feathers, and under his wings we will find refuge; his faithfulness will be our shield and rampart.
5 We will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day,
6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.
7 A thousand may fall at our side, ten thousand at our right hand, but it will not come near us.
8 We will only observe with our eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.
9 If the King’s Community say, “The LORD is our refuge,” and we make the Most High our dwelling,
10 no harm will overtake us, no disaster will come near our tent. 1
1 For he will command his angels concerning us to guard us in all our ways;
12 they will lift us up in their hands, so that we will not strike our foot against a stone.
13 The King’s Community will tread on the lion and the cobra; we will trample the great lion and the serpent.
14 “Because the King’s Community loves me,” says the LORD, “I will rescue them; I will protect them, for they acknowledge my name.
15 They will call on me, and I will answer them; I will be with them in trouble, I will deliver them and honor them.
16 With long life I will satisfy them and show them my salvation.”

Thank you church community for your engagement with today’s service – there was a great sense of blessing one another with words of encouragement, sharing prayers and sharing scripture today.
Mike asked the question "What are the promises we hold onto?" and this is what you came back with:
"Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go". Joshua 1:9
“Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don’t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way.” James 1:2-4 MSG
"Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope: Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, "The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him." The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord." Lamentations 3:21-26
Psalm 46 ... God is our refuge and strength .... be still and know that I am God
